Only luxury real estate is still escaping the crisis by Jean-Bernard Litzler
While luxury real estate professionals have taken stock of the past year, it appears that their activity is a little less sheltered from market turbulence than in the past. Their year 2023 was rather good but the discourse has evolved significantly. After having largely described their luxury real estate market as a niche that does not suffer from the turbulence that has affected real estate in general for many months, some of these professionals are facing the facts. They too are experiencing sales declines and price reductions. Only the most luxurious properties in their high-end selection face financing problems and questions about price levels. Result: they all continue to achieve record sales, sometimes at prices never before reached, but their overall volume of business, just like average prices per square meter, is tending to decline. Here are the 6 major trends in luxury real estate in 2023 and which are expected to continue until the end of 2024
