Presentation of the La Baule agency
The Bretagne Sud Sotheby's International Realty agency in the famous seaside resort of La Baule was founded in 2013. It joined the Sotheby's International Realty network the same year.
Located on the seafront embankment, the agency is in the immediate vicinity of the resort's main street and enjoys excellent visibility. Together with the Quimper and Vannes branches, it forms a single entity, capable of covering the Finistère, Morbihan and Pays de la Loire regions.
The team is made up of 7 employees with a wide range of profiles, all with solid experience in prestige real estate and fluency in English, Dutch or German. The Bretagne Sud Sotheby's International Realty agency in La Baule specializes in real estate transactions and seasonal rentals.
The agency provides additional services such as setting up advertisements with photos, editing and distributing properties on the group's websites, as well as putting clients and owners in touch with each other. In the Loire-Atlantique region, its portfolio is made up of carefully selected seaside properties.
The La Baule real estate market
The clientele is mainly French and European, coming from Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Germany. The typical profile is that of a couple aged 45 to 65 with children, looking for a primary or secondary residence for an average budget of 500,000 to several million euros.
Buyers will appreciate this destination for its quality of life, in particular its reasonable summer temperatures, proximity to the sea and unspoilt, secure setting.
Traditionally a buoyant market, Brittany's attractiveness increased tenfold during the covid period. In Loire-Atlantique, the most popular towns for future buyers are La Baule, Pornichet, Saint-Nazaire, Pornic and le Pouliguen. The resort is also renowned for its golf courses, which attract many players all year round.
La Baule: History and heritage
Originally, “Bôle” was a coastal locality, referring to a marshy shoreline. Thanks to the creation of the railroad station in 1879, and the planting of coniferous trees to stem the rise of the sand, the seaside resort of La Baule was developed. Monsieur Hennecart and Monsieur Darlu, originally from Paris, made the resort famous by launching the first construction projects at the end of the 19th century.
After the First World War, the resort saw an influx of Anglo-Saxon tourists and the creation of luxurious private mansions. In 1952, the era of the automobile and the introduction of paid vacations gave La Baule a new energy. Seafront buildings were built to accommodate as many people as possible.
Today, La Baule boasts numerous casinos, restaurants and cinemas, and is a popular venue for festivals. Its heritage includes a remarkable gastronomy of seafood, fish, spiders, oysters and more.
The Sotheby's International Realty network offers its expertise and high standards to meet the needs of its customers. Thanks to the establishment of numerous local partnerships, the agency is also involved in promoting the richness of Brittany.
